Marblehead Lighthouse

Operated by the U.S. Coast Guard, Marblehead lighthouse is the oldest active lighthouse on the Great Lakes. Constructed in 1821, it sits at the southwest corner of Lake Erie near the entrance to Sandusky Bay. Originally 55 feet tall, the tower was expanded to 65 feet to accomodate a new lighting system.
