Comments: I started this with the intention of making her a tribal warrior. I did not like the pose or how the idea developed, so I put her away for a month or so. She was only a pencil sketch at the time, but I pulled her back out and she developed very quickly as a much more feminine character than I had envisioned. Maybe I was forcing her too much, instead of just letting her happen. Those are usually the best pieces.

It is hard to see, but her eyes are a gold color, and her jewelry was done with a gold leaf marker, giving it a reflective quality.
