Tuber, Sig Maker, and Tagger Info

After much debate, I have decided to license my images to the tagging and signature community through Sticker Chick.

This will be great news for many, as I get a lot of requests to sign with a company and allow my images to be used. But, I realize that some will be disappointed that previous permissions will be revoked and images must now be purchased.

When I first started doing fantasy and pin up work around 2002, I had a small catalog of images and the idea of tube licensing was in its infancy. I now have a much larger (and growing) catalog of images and there is an active tagging community that has embraced artists rights to their own images, as well as their rights to receive income from their efforts and talents. As digital images have become the equivalent of paper prints in the cyber world, they should be treated as a licensed product in the same manner as a notecard, calendar, or t-shirt. This makes sense for business and aids in the protection of how copywritten material is used.

I feel it is no longer fair to the PSP community at large to allow some groups to use the images for free, while many others who ask are turned down because I no longer grant new permissions. It is also not fair, and unrealistic, to expect any working artist to simply give up their images and copyrights for free. It has, unfortunately, lead to rampant theft of the images, some of which are third party copywritten (such as the A Game of Thrones art) and should not be used. Licensing tubes through Stickerchick solves a majority of these dilemmas.

I realize that theft may not be fully stopped, but I do feel the need to protect how (and which) images are used. Since a license number must be displayed on the image, it will be very obvious who has permission to use an image and who does not. Only images that are approved for use will be available through Stickerchick.

So, I am happy to level the playing field and offer my work to you through Stickerchick!
